What do you have planned for personal development in 2016?To quote VA Classroom, “Virtual Events have fundamentally changed the way businesses conduct meetings, presentations and conferences.” I agree. Every day I am project and/or event planning some type of virtual event. Even my Faith-Filled Annual Planning Experience has a virtual event, the planning day on Friday, December 2.

I also agree that “getting good results from Virtual Events takes time and specialized skills, and businesses are looking frantically for the right virtual professionals to help.” This is why I recently took VA Classroom’s 2016 Event Specialist Certification course, to refresh and hone my skills in this area.

From developing a strategy, to co-hosting webinars and blabs, to choosing reliable services and helping support the registration and fulfillment processes, VA Classroom really upgraded this program to be in-step with today’s online marketing demands and the skills that clients are searching for out in the market.

While much of the course is geared toward technologies and tools, Craig Cannings still maintains a focus on the processes and procedures one truly must establish and implement for success. I love structure, and this step is foundational for me to find that balance when I am working on my own events or assisting others.

This course is one of eight that I will take in the “2015-2016” educational year. My professional development, or continuing education calendar, is scheduled out with the classes that I feel will best serve my practice and my clients. It is carefully planned in advance to hone some of my hard as well as soft skills.

Learning is key for me. It is a huge part of who I am and I really enjoy the opportunity as an entrepreneur to continue to better myself as a partner, business owner, and individual. It helps me nurture my clients, share my gifts, and live my purpose.

How about you? What are you doing for personal development and learning this year?
